Religious Education for Children, grades 1-8
The heart of the faith formation preparation for children in grades one through eight are the catechetical sharing sessions held on Saturday afternoons. In these fun and energetic sessions, groups of similarly-aged children are guided by catechists (generally students from the Harvard/MIT Catholic communities). In consideration of the need for multi-sensory instruction, the curriculum is adapted to the needs of children at the varying stages of their development, and includes formation in scripture, tradition, and prayer.
