Founded in 1983, the St. Paul Parish Choir has served the liturgy and proclaimed the Gospel in song at the 9:30 Sunday Mass for more than thirty years. The choir is comprised of approximately 35 volunteer singers from the parish and the Harvard Square community, specializing in the finest liturgical music composed throughout the history of the Church. The choir’s repertoire includes everything from Gregorian chant and Renaissance polyphony to inspirational music by romantic and contemporary composers. In addition to singing at Mass, the choir sings a service of Advent lessons and carols, a Solemn Vespers for Epiphany in combination with the Choir of St. Paul’s | Harvard Square, and an annual Spring concert of liturgical works.
The Parish Choir rehearses on Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30 and on Sunday mornings at 8:30. New singers are always welcome to join. Contact Dr. Jonathan Wessler at firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange an informal audition.
