LENT AT ST. PAUL’S

ASH WEDNESDAY MASS TIMES

The Season of Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, February 14. Ashes will be distributed during Mass at 8:00am, 12:10pm and 7:00pm. Ash Wednesday is a day of universal fast and abstinence in the Church.

 

STATIONS OF THE CROSS

Stations of the Cross will be celebrated at 5:30pm on Fridays during Lent in the Church starting on February 16.

 

 

THE LIGHT IS ON FOR YOU: WEDNESDAYS OF LENT— 6:30pm to 8:00pm

St. Paul’s and all the parishes and chapels of the Archdiocese of Boston will be open for individual confessions starting on Wednesday, February 21, from 6:30pm to 8:00pm. Please visit www.TheLightIsOnForYou.org to help you prepare. It has videos on the Sacrament of Reconciliation, sheets on how to make a good confession, answers to frequently-asked questions and more. Please make plans to come on Lenten Wednesdays and spread the word of this special outreach of mercy to those you know.

 

LENTEN COMMUNITY LUNCHES: 

Beginning Wednesday, February 21, the Homeless Out-reach Committee will sponsor the Annual Wednesday Lenten Lunch Program. It will take place on February 28, March 7, 13, 21 at 12:30pm in the lower Church. Guests can come in for coffee & bagels in the morning before the meal is served. Contributions of prepared dishes, vegetables, fruits, individual fruit juices and desserts can be left at the Parish Center no later than 11:00am the day of the meal. Join us on Friday, March 9 at 7:00pm in the church for the Duruflé Requie, sung by the St. Paul’s Choir of Men and boys.
