Just a brief announcement: we learned on Thursday morning that one of our parishioners who attended the 11:00 AM Mass on Sunday, January 24 has since been diagnosed with Covid 19. The Cambridge Board of Health and the Archdiocese of Boston have been informed.
The person, who was and continues to be asymptomatic, had observed all protocols before entering the church, kept a mask in place throughout the Mass (removing it only to receive communion), and left the church immediately following the Mass. The person was seated in the back rear center section on the right facing the altar, near the large confessional. The church, it should be noted, is regularly cleaned.
By all standards, contact with the person would have been minimal. However, if you were at this Mass, you would want to monitor your health. It’s a good reminder for all of us to continue to follow all health safety requirements.
We continue to pray for all those who are ill and those who care for them.
